What does this mean?

Being the only programmable infusion pump on the market
that is not digital, SmartInfuser PainPump™ allows medical teams
to set and reset when needed the following four important features
that affect both the efficiency of the anesthetic therapy, and the rate of recovery:

        • Administration Flow Rate– anywhere from 1ml/hr to 6 ml/hr
        • Bolus volume - from 0ml up to 5 ml
        • Reservoir volume - anywhere from 50 to 500 ml
        • Length of catheter infusing segment any length up to 140 mm (5.5")

Further more, the pump can be carried with the patient in a special carrying pouch allowing
for a greater mobility, while maintaining a high level of accuracy in the administered flow rate
during the entire therapy.

Accuracy and Stability – the Innovative Regulator

SmartReg® an innovative flow regulator which is responsible for the exceptional
performance of the SmartInfuser PainPump™ maintains a uniform, accurate flow rate
regardless of changes in the administration pressure.
SmartReg® enables the healthcare provider to select and lock any flow rate within range
immediately following the quick priming procedure.
SmartReg® allows the medical team to reset the flow rate and bolus volume during the
patients hospitalization according to individual needs, and then permanently lock the regulator
once the patients is released.

SmartReg® allows a partial fill of the reservoir with out affecting the pump flow rate, i.e. enabling
medical team to fill the reservoir with any desired volume up to 500ml when preparing the pump
and refilling it as needed during the course of therapy.
